Often imitated, never duplicated, it's the 24th Annual Mopar Nationals and it's going to be a blast!
Manufacturer's Midway/General Swap Meet
If you are looking for that hard-to-find part or that last piece to finish your restoration, the 24th Annual Mopar Nationals is the place to go. With more than 1,500 all-Mopar vendor spaces, it is the largest all-Mopar swap meet in the world. Many companies use the Mopar Nats to debut their new restoration/reproduction items and offer introductory discounts. You will find a variety of N.O.S., new, reproduction, and used parts, not to mention literature, memorabilia, collectibles, toys, and just about anything Mopar-related. If Mother Mopar made it, chances are it will be for sale at the Nats.
If you own a Mopar parts or service business, you need to be at the Mopar Nats! Where else can 50,000 die-hard Mopar enthusiasts see your product first hand? Space price is based on the amount rented, with reduced pricing based on larger space requirements. Space sizes come in 20x20 increments. The Midway is located up front, near the starting line, guaranteeing your company the best possible exposure. If you have parts to sell, the 24th Annual Mopar Nationals general swap meet is the place for you. Spaces are 10 feet wide by 25 feet deep. Cost is $85 for a regular space and $130 for the end of an aisle (limited availability). You must be able to park your vehicle within the size of your space or you will have to park in the vendor parking lot adjacent to the grounds. Make sure you purchase enough space for your parts and vehicle. Additional space is available in 10-foot increments at $85 each. The swap meet area will be located in the northeast corner of the track in back-to-back rows. Even though this area is huge, we sell out every year. Purchase of swap meet spaces can be done at NTR until 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 12. No entries will be accepted after this time, unless Mopar Nationals has given you prior approval. All vendors will set up Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday move-in is possible on request. If you plan to purchase a swap meet space on Thursday, use the Gate H entrance off Refugee Road (CR 30) and proceed to the red-and-white tent for registration.
Mopar Models
AutoKnow of Utica, Michigan, will again sponsor the 16th Annual Mopar Model Car Contest. Stop by the AutoKnow tent in the Manufacturer's Midway and view the models for yourself. The amount of work and attention to detail these skilled model makers devote to these cars is fantastic. Participants-young children to seasoned adults-may enter single or multiple cars, from complete scenes (dioramas) at racetracks to cars rusting away in a remote field.
Entry is simple. the model needs to be a Mopar/AMC product. Register your model at the AutoKnow tent on Saturday, August 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Models will be judged in different classes with results posted at 4 p.m. Participants should pick up their models by 5 p.m.
Participants are divided into three age groups: 11 and under, 12 through 17, and 18 and over, with each group divided into stock and modified classes. There will also be a class for the diorama entries. Depending on the number of entries per class, First through Third Place trophies will be awarded.
