Talk about a multi-faceted event! The 14th Annual Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals brought a record number of people and cars from far and wide. This year's event broke all previous attendance records with 46,474 people and 2,132 vehicles on display, not to mention the 1,448 vendors and the absolutely perfect rain-free weather. DaimlerChrysler pulled out all the stops, bringing a myriad of displays, concept vehicles, merchandise (including the reissued Direct Connection apparel), the Mopar Performance Speed Shop, display vehicles, test vehicles, video games, and the list goes on. On hand were NASCAR legend Buddy Baker, drag racing legend Arlen Vanke, and the new faces of Dodge's Hemi truck commercials, Todd Giebenhain and Jon Reep. For the ladies, there were manicures, pedicures, and massages to keep them from having to hear nothing but car talk the whole weekend. A playground was also on hand for the kids. This event had something for everyone. The folks at Carlisle know how to put on a first-rate show. Heck, so much happened that weekend we would need half an issue of Mopar Muscle to tell you about it. Next year's event is scheduled for July 8-10, 2005. Don't miss it!
