On Day 2 there were no major incidents and we saw 560HP on the dyno.
Day two saw two more competitors running on the dyno, David Bruns of Mid America Racing Engines, and Tucker Caven from Speed-O-motive. Neither had the misfortune of having any problems. The power numbers were good, and so far, the big number is over 560 horsepower. Check in tomorrow for more results.
David and Diane Bruns of Mid America Racing Engines are the defending champions, and made it look easy again this year. So far, they have posted the big number. | David Bruns made several timing changes during his dyno time. | Likewise, the carb received a lot of attention. |
A ground wire during the Speed-O-motive session caused a smaal lapse in the action, but was quickly remedied. | Tucker Caven represented Speedo well, and posted a fairly stout number. | Tucker's engine was so well prepared, that making jet changes actually hurt power. To say the Speedo motor was ready to run, is an understatement. |
Now we want your help! What engine should we build for next year's challenge? We've chosen three different engines combos; a claimer engine, a budget engine, or an all out big block with no monetary limits.
