It happens every year during the Memorial Day weekend, and this year, the All-Mopar Southern Nationals was once again a blast to attend. This year, the show had to endure an incoming Tropical Storm that was slated to make landfall on Sunday night, but we still managed to have a great weekend of show cars and racing. We arrived on Friday afternoon, and the racing action was already in full swing with bracket test and tune, and a cool arm drop starts racing. Saturday morning saw the racing and show action get started with the gates opening at 8:00 a.m. Sunday was another great day of racing and car showing, and even though Tropical Storm Beryl was coming on shore and caused some havoc with the event for Sunday afternoon, we still think that it's a great event. Over the years, the event has been one that we have regularly attended, and on Saturday, we decided to meet with the track manager, and see what we can do to help make the event grow.
What's going to happen, is that there will be some changes to the event that will make it easier--and less expensive for vendors, and more enjoyable and event-filled for racers, show participants, and spectators alike. So please, stay tuned for upcoming announcements that we will be making of things that will be going on at the event for Memorial Weekend 2013 to make it even better, and once again make it an event you can't miss.
