The 325ci polyspherical V-8 was dubbed the "Red Ram" by Chrysler marketing executives. Not as potent as the hemi-headed "Fire Power" 392, the 325 could push out 250-plus ponies. Low compression and a mild-mannered camshaft made the "poly" V-8 more of a family or cruising appropriate engine than a quarter-mile or big oval racer.
