Taking pictures of a concept car at a show is one thing, but I actually drove the new Challenger. The car was introduced--with considerable buzz--at the Detroit International Auto Show. recently, it was shipped to the West Coast to allow a limited number of journalists to photograph it and experience driving it. And drive it I did!

Modern Muscle! There are no bad angles for viewing the Challenger concept. It's exceptionally well proportioned and an excellent representation of what a present day version of the Challenger should be--just enough modern details mixed with the iconic look of the original.

Even though this is a modern musclecar, the Challenger concept has excellent road manners due to its solid LX platform. The wheels are a multipiece one-off design with 21x10-inch in the rear and 20x9-inch in the front. We're not sure if those sizes will remain on the production model, but, man, are they large.
