During the winter of 2003, Brett decided to strip the 'Cuda of everything but the driver's seat and steering wheel in order to redo the 13-year-old paint job. Steve Brecount Jr. at Shottenkirk body shop in Ft. Madison, Iowa, applied the PPG Quasar Blue. Remember, the previous owner had restored the car, so that made Brett's job just a little easier. Sheetmetal didn't need to be replaced, and the Quasar Blue application went without a hitch.
Brett is really pleased with how the 'Cuda turned out, and is quick to point out that he could have never done it on his own.
