There are many uses for pickup trucks, and Dodge has always looked at exploiting them all. Dodge was very heavily invested in the camper market where they produced an assortment of buses, campers, and even the Winnebago. We found this press photo that says "not be released before August 20, 1972." Here we see a '73 D100 club cab equipped with a slide-in camper. The camper option could be added to a variety of Dodge trucks, and converted a traditional D-series pickup into a home on wheels. The camper craze was short lived, sadly, as they also fell victim to fuel crisis in the '70s.
