Then we slid the assembled wing onto the trunk lid, placed the properwashers and nuts in place, and tightened.

Before the lower bracket could be installed, the special nut/washersneeded to be placed on the studs. These nut/washers go between the trunklid and bracket. when the bracket is installed, they tighten downagainst it to give the wing support.

(above & below left) Here you can see the nut/washers sticking through the bracket. Next, weinstalled the screws holding the bracket to the trunk lid, and thentightened the nut/washers against the bracket.
