From here we're basically stripped, with only a few minor items to remove to pick the block clean. The oil filter adapter, all of the oil gallery plugs, and all of the freeze plugs need to be removed. Use a fat punch at one side to knock one end in of the freeze plug, which will rock the plug over as shown. A pair of Channelock pliers pries the plug out. View Related Article
