We finally decided on a factory style Demon/Duster scoop from AAR Quality Fiberglass. Sure, a '75 Dart Sport was never available with one, but remember, build it how you want it. We first scuffed the scoop with a fine Scotchbrite pad and gave it a coat of Satin Black rattle-can paint.

The first thing we did was properly place the scoop on the hood. These two holes (arrows) were the starting point. We centered the 31/48-inch drill bit in the center of the hole and drilled from the bottom of the hood.
