Sportsman
Open to all footbrake vehicles running 12.00-up e.t. All vehicles must be Chrysler-powered and will run off a .500-second full tree on their dial-in with a breakout rule. Delay boxes, throttle stops, trans brakes, and other electronics are not allowed in or on the vehicle. All vehicles must meet basic racing rules and all safety requirements. Helmets required (12.00-13.99 e.t.). Co-riders are allowed during time trials only. All passengers must be at least 16 years of age.
Four-Speed Quick-8
The four-speed Quick-8 program will be a "no entry fee" bonus race for paid bracket competitors. The field will consist of the eight quickest full-bodied, rear-wheel-drive, manual-transmission vehicles. Races will be a full quarter-mile with a .500-second full tree on a dial-in with a breakout rule in effect. Qualification will be determined by the quickest e.t. of each vehicle. Contestants will receive three qualifying runs. One across-the-line burnout is allowed for all vehicles. All vehicles must be Chrysler-powered. There is no minimum weight requirement. "Clutchless" and planetary transmissions are not allowed. Transmission limited to four forward speeds. All vehicles must meet basic racing rules and all safety requirements. Aside from this, anything goes, including nitrous, superchargers, or any other power-adders. Contested at Columbus and Milan only.
Heads-Up Super Street
A limited-electronics class open to all street-legal full-bodied cars. Races will be a full quarter-mile, with a .400-second pro tree, heads-up with no breakout rule. Contestants will qualify based on low e.t. All vehicles must be Chrysler-powered. Entrants are required to self-start and navigate the entire race sequence under their own power. Minimum weight is 3,000 pounds. Back-halved vehicles permitted. Maximum measured tire is a 13-inch-wide DOT or 10.5-wide slick. Power-adders are limited to turbocharger, supercharger, multi-stage plate-mounted nitrous, or single-stage fogger nitrous. All vehicles must meet basic racing rules and all safety requirements. Class will be contested at Columbus and Norwalk only.
Heads-Up EZ Street
A limited-electronics class open to all street-legal full-bodied cars. Races will be a full quarter-mile, with a .400-second pro tree, heads-up with no breakout rule. Contestants will qualify based on low e.t. All vehicles must be Chrysler-powered. Entries are required to self-start and navigate the entire race sequence under their own power. Minimum weight is 2,800 pounds. Stock chassis required. Wheelie bars not permitted. Maximum measured tire is a 11.5-inch-wide DOT. Power-adders limited to single-stage plate-mounted or fogger nitrous. All vehicles must meet basic racing rules and all safety requirements. Class will be contested at Columbus and Norwalk only.
Heads-Up Pure Stock
A footbrake class open to all original V8-powered rear-wheel-drive vehicles. Clone cars acceptable. Pure Stock will consist of two classes-small-block and big-block. The class will be determined by the original configuration of the engine block, not by cubic inch. All B, RB, and 426 Hemi engines will compete together in big-block. Races will be a full quarter-mile, with a .400-second pro tree, heads-up with no breakout rule. Contestants will qualify based on low e.t. Vehicles must retain Stock body panels, interior, carburetor, manifolds, wheels, and so on. No power-adders permitted. All vehicles must meet basic racing rules and all safety requirements. Class is open to all Fun Field, Car Show, and Drag Race participants. Drag Race participants are also eligible to compete in bracket categories and Gambler's races. Class will be contested at Columbus and Norwalk only.
