Hemi Super Stock
Open to vehicles originally intended for Super Stock competition. 426 Hemi block required. Maximum tire width is 14.5 inches. The following vehicles are eligible to compete in Super Stock: SS/A '68 Barracudas and Darts; SS/B '64-'65 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body two-doors SS/C '64-'65 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body wagons; SS/D '67 Belvederes and Coronets; SS/E '66 Belvederes; Coronets and '70-'71 Barracudas and Challengers; SS/F '67 Belvedere and Coronet wagons; and '68-'70 Belvedere and Coronet two-doors. Clone cars acceptable. Automatic and manual transmission cars will compete in separate classes. All vehicles must run at or below established class index (SS/A=10.15; SS/AA=10.20; SS/B and BA=10.40; SS/C and CA=10.55; SS/D and DA=10.70; SS/E=10.75; SS/EA=10.85; SS/F=10.85; SS/FA=10.95). All vehicles must meet NHRA Super Stock rules for body, chassis, tire size, and safety. Cars will not be weighed or torn down. Drivers will compete in heads-up trophy class run-offs and an all-run dial-in cash eliminator. A breakout rule will be in effect for the cash eliminator only. Cars will be run on a Sportsman Ladder (1-5, 2-6, 3-7, 4-8, and so on). Contestants will qualify based on their ability to run quicker than their class index. All Super Stock contestants must compete in trophy-class run-offs to be eligible to compete in cash eliminations. Contested at Columbus only.
Neon Challenge
The Neon Challenge is a "no entry fee" bonus race for paid bracket competitors with Neon bodies and four-cylinder engines. An all-run cash eliminator will be a full quarter-mile, with a .500-second full tree on a dial-in with a breakout rule in effect. The four quickest vehicles will also compete in a Fast Four, featuring a full quarter-mile, .400-second pro tree, heads-up with no breakout rule. Cars will be numbered and laddered based on qualifying e.t.'s. Qualification will be determined by the quickest e.t. of each vehicle. All vehicles must meet basic racing rules and all safety requirements. Aside from this, anything goes, including electronics, nitrous, superchargers, or any other power-adders. Competitors may race in Sunday's Bracket program at no additional charge. Contested at Columbus, Norwalk, and Neo-Classic only.
Quick 16
The Quick-16 program will be a "no entry fee" bonus race for paid Big-Dog competitors. The field will consist of eight full-bodied (including funny cars) and eight open-bodied cars (including dragsters, altereds and roadsters). Races will be a full quarter-mile, with a .500-second full tree on a dial-in with a breakout rule in effect. Qualification will be determined by the quickest e.t. Contestants will receive three qualifying runs. One across-the-line burnout is allowed for all vehicles. All vehicles must be Chrysler-powered. There is no minimum weight requirement. Any transmission will be allowed. All vehicles must meet basic racing rules and all safety requirements. Aside from this, anything goes, including nitrous, superchargers, or any other power-adders. Contested at Columbus and Norwalk only.
Slant-Six Showdown
The Slant-Six Showdown is a "no entry fee" bonus race for paid bracket competitors with Slant-Six powered vehicles. An all-run cash eliminator will be a full quarter-mile, .500-second full tree, on a dial-in with a breakout rule in effect. The four quickest vehicles will also compete in a Fast Four featuring a full quarter-mile, .400-second pro tree, heads-up with no breakout rule. Qualifying will be determined by the quickest e.t. All vehicles must meet basic racing rules and all safety requirements. Aside from this, anything goes, including electronics, nitrous, superchargers, or any other power-adders. Competitors may race in Sunday's Bracket program at no additional charge. Contested at Columbus, Tri-State, and Milan only.
