Hotchkis Sport Suspension has recently announced the opening of Hotchkis Performance East, its new east coast location in Mooresville, North Carolina - also known as "Race City, USA". The new location is a perfect choice for expansion due in part to the proximity of dozens of NASCAR and NHRA teams.
Hotchkis Sport Suspension carries every suspension modification you could ever dream of for a long list of Mopar Vehicles, including Challengers, Chargers, Magnums, Darts, Super Bees, Barracudas, Dusters and much more!
Hotchkis Performance East will be responsible for providing manufacturing, development, and distribution support, enabling quicker product delivery times. Custom fabrication services as well as safety equipment design and installation, suspension installation, and race car prep are just some of the projects that the facility is capable of handling.
"It has long been our goal to expand the company's manufacturing and product development abilities," says Hotchkis founder, John Hotchkis in a statement announcing the facility. "With the opening of Hotchkis Performance East we now have the ability to perform R&D on multiple platforms at once while simultaneously speeding up production, enabling us to deliver a timelier product to our customers. Not only do we now have these additional capacities, but with Kevin Bryde at the helm, we can now also offer suspension installation services as well as custom race fabrication."
Kevin Bryde is the Hotchkis Performance East manager and has been a motorsports designer and fabricator for over 17 years. Throughout his career, he has worked with some of the most talented drivers in the industry including Dick Trickle, Tony Stewart, Sterling Marlin, Dario Franchitti, Juan Pablo Montoya, Martin Truex Jr., and Jamie McMurray, to name a few. Kevin's most recent venture included working in the Engineering Department of Chip Ganassi Racing where he designed, fabricated, and created prototypes for NASCAR, Indy Car, and Rolex Sports Car race cars. Pair all of this awesome experience with over ten years in all aspects of driver safety - seat, head restraint, and race car cockpit design - and you have yourself a more-than-capable leader for the newest branch of Hotchkis Sport Suspension.
So what makes the new facility so awesome? The shop comes complete with multiple service bays, an alignment rack, and a two-post lift, as well as fabrication equipment and full machine shop, making everything from basic suspension installation and alignment to full race fabrication and other custom work a cinch. New Lincoln Electric welding equipment ensures top quality welds on all custom fabrication jobs, safety equipment installations, and Hotchkis Sport Suspension components manufactured on site.
"We've already begun manufacturing Hotchkis muscle car parts on site, and the deep pool of talent in Mooresville has allowed us ramp things up very quickly," Bryde says. From ramping up production of our current suspension components to digging in on project car builds and motorsports fabrication this facility gives one of the oldest and most respected names in pro-touring parts a beachhead in the Southeast. I'm excited to be part of a winning team."
