 The AVS was phased out at...  The AVS was phased out at the same time as the musclecar and replaced by the small primary/huge secondary spread-bore ThermoQuad, which debuted on the 340 in 1971. Many still swear by its horsepower-making ability. Part numbers and date codes on ThermoQuads are located on the rear-facing edge of the driver-side, rear-mounting flange.  Other than the Hemi, no other...  Other than the Hemi, no other induction system caught the attention of the public like the Six Pack and 6-bbl packages from Dodge and Plymouth, respectively. This brace of carbs shows the positioning of the three units from the passenger side; note the fuel-line mounting points and the lack of metering blocks between the bowl and the body on the two outboard units. Part numbers and date codes are found on the forward-facing side of the choke air horn.
