01 The engine we’re installing in our ’64 Dodge is a big-block we built back in the May ’11 issue of Mopar Muscle. Adding to our engine swap issues, this engine is equipped with Indy 440-1 cylinder heads with raised exhaust ports. Having been previously installed in a ’71 Road Runner, we knew from a chassis dyno session that this big-block made power. In fact, it made more than 550 horsepower at the rear wheels, while spinning the tires on the dyno. With this kind of torque and horsepower, we knew we’d need a solid set of engine mounts to hold the big-block in place.
