The cage needs to be connected to the car's forward frame, and we've found this to be the easiest way to do it. By passing a bar from the forward down bar, through the firewall, and welding it to the front framerail directly behind the upper control arm, we triangulated the frame in the area where we removed the inner fender for the headers.
