Automatic Locking
To be on the safe side, we decided to install door lock actuators and hook them up to the alarm. This ensures that the doors lock automatically when the alarm is enabled and unlock when its disabled.

The door panels were removed...

The door panels were removed for access to the manual lock linkage.

The relay allows the alarm...

The relay allows the alarm to unlock the drivers side door when the alarm is disabled. With a second push of the key chain switch, the passenger door unlocks. Here, the relay was being wired into place.

A small metal block with three...

A small metal block with three set screws attaches to the manual lock rod (two set screw side) and to the new rod going to the actuator.

The actuator with the rod...

The actuator with the rod was lowered into the lower corner of the door.

Here, the actuator was tightened...

Here, the actuator was tightened using two machine screws. The wires were routed beside the speaker wires to the lock relay under the dash.
