We all have a favorite something, be it a football team or brand of car. Over the years, most of us end up with a car or maybe two cars that we can play with and drive on the weekends. A few of us even cruise our rides on a daily basis. Kevin Hand, of Greensboro, North Carolina, turned his success in the new car business into a nice collection of truly premium muscle cars, so nice that they frankly don't get driven very often--except one.

Eric knew the car was pretty special and wanted it to look the part. The 300 was taken to Jim Mills Lincoln-Mercury in Ridgeway, Virginia, where the factory silver paint was masked off to receive a two-tone paint job. DuPont Graphite paint was sprayed on top and the color transition was separated by a Hemi Orange, 1/4-inch pinstripe.

During the winter months, Mopar guys and girls around the world either build, restore, or add improvements to their rides, while some set out to make theirs "more perfect."

When you're a twin, you tend to do things very similarly. Growing up, Ed Faath and his brother Bob were very close. When the time came to start driving, Bob purchased a '68 Charger and naturally, Ed's first choice in cars would be Mopar and he's been hooked ever since. Fast-forward to 2009 and this kinship has materialized multiple projects.

It's funny how some things that we are exposed to during our youth will stay with us for the rest of our lives. It's like a seed that gets planted within us that is just waiting for the right conditions to grow.

You've seen it in the movies. You've seen it on the show scene. You're now seeing it in 1/18th-scale diecast form. And, this spring, it's back on the big screen.

There are a lot of important parts on our old Mopars, but one part that is often taken for granted is the windshield. Most of us don't think too much about this part of our car, unless it is cracked or broken, but in reality the windshield serves many purposes. Of course the main purpose of the windshield, and the one that affects driving safety the most, is to give us a clear view of the road ahead. Secondarily, the windshield protects us from the wind, keeps foreign objects like sand, rocks, birds, and bugs from striking us as we drive, and seals the car from the rain, snow, cold, and heat. The windshield also takes a lot of abuse from the elements, especially the sun, and is routinely struck by insects, sand, and rocks as we drive, so it doesn't take long before the front glass really starts showing its age.

If you're a big fan of spicy food, you check out somebody like Guy Fieri on the Food Network to watch him cook up all kinds of hot habineros. But if you want to feel the heat from a Hemi, Vortech serves up a centrifugal supercharger that'll smoke 'em. Try one little taste of this chile-green Charger, and you'll be howling for more. As with any gourmet dish, quality is more important than quantity, so instead of a rotund Roots blower piled high on the hood, the centrifugal type packs its punch in a compact unit right under the hood.

Topping their 440, JMS used the Indy SR aluminum cylinder heads that each builder was required by the rules to utilize. These heads are a great fit to the 440, offering big ports and valves, while rocker gear remains in the stock location. Starting with the CNC ported castings, the ports and chambers of the Indy heads were cleaned up in-house, then the heads were treated to a multi-angle valve job, then assembled with SI stainless steel valves and Isky PN 9375 P105 valvesprings to match the custom roller cam. T & D PN 8215 rocker arms were utilized for their strength and accuracy, and JMS had no valvetrain related issues during their dyno session. To top this combination, JMS used an Indy PN 440-14-12 aluminum single-plane intake manifold with a 4150 style flange, and topped it with a PC Carbs HP 1000 stage III four-barrel.

If you've been a Mopar Muscle reader for long, chances are you remember our B3 (budget, bracket, Barracuda) project vehicle. The original premise of this build was to legally run ten second elapsed times in the quarter, on a ten thousand dollar budget. While we accomplished this goal, running a best of 10.13 seconds at 133 mph, and have successfully raced the B3 for over a year now without any major issues, we simply want to go faster than our car's current engine and stock suspension can reliably take us. Since we'll be upgrading to a 500 cubic inch, Indy-headed wedge, and running Calvert Racing rear suspension to help our car hook up, we decided to upgrade the front of our Barracuda with a tubular K-member and tubular upper and lower control arms from CAP Auto Products.

Because electronic actions are managed through a microcontroller, the system can perform special functions beyond just a simple off and on control. A light can be set to blink as a turn signal, or stay lit as a running light. The system can even set a time delay for functions like cooling cans, or even initiate soft-start headlights. The Mastercells can even be configured to accept analogue input for proportional control of an output. Users can purchase their kits pre-programmed with custom configurations or purchase a programmer to allow them to make changes after the system is installed.

If you're like us, you remember the days when there were literally no aftermarket aluminum cylinder heads available for the big-block Mopar. Back then, enthusiasts who wanted more power either hand-ported their own heads using the Mopar Performance templates, or paid a professional to perform the time-consuming work. While the end result of hand-porting depends on the skill of the person doing the work, ported 906 heads can perform very well, and are generally able to provide enough flow for 600 or more horsepower in extreme cases. So why don't more racers and engine builders use the 906 heads? The answer is purely economical.

If you're like us, you spend countless hours getting your car ready to head to the track or local car show on the weekends and the last thing you want is for your ride to be rained on. Many a Mopar has stayed garaged on a cloudy day while the owner checks the forecast and watches the sky, hoping for the sun to peek out so he or she can enjoy the car. Eventually, however, we all take a chance and drive our cars when the weather is questionable, and, more often than not, getting caught in the rain means redetailing the car, or worse yet, dealing with water leaks and wet feet.

I'm lucky (OK, make that old) enough to remember marveling at the audacious Shaker scoops proudly protruding through the hoods of hot-rod E-Bodies on dealer lots way back in 1970. Little did I care back then that they were functional. At the time I just knew they were cool. The fact that they also provided a blast of cooler air to the cast-iron monster lurking beneath was of almost no importance to me, since as a dirt-poor 15-year-old, I couldn't afford even a Slant Six Dart in those days, let alone a testosterone-oozing Challenger or 'Cuda.
