No More Needles
Do you know how fast you were going? No, you haven't been pulled over. But if you answered, "I'm not sure," you might want to look at Intellitronix's GPS (Global Positioning Satellites) Digital Speedometer. Unlike conventional speedometers that rely upon speedometer gearing or vehicle speed sensors in the transmission, the Intellitronix version uses input from GPS to determine speed. The GPS gauge transmits its position once per second and calculates the distance traveled between each transmission. Thus, variables like tire size, gear ratio, and wear and tear no longer factor into the readings. The display shows speed to the tenth of a mile per hour and includes a memory that records your top speed. It also comes with a built-in 10,000-rpm tachometer, a voltmeter, and a 0-to-360-degree compass. Intellitronix, 440/458-4858; intellitronix.com
