Here’s the little devil responsible for the big power gains. The Puck’s housing is billet aluminum, and the wiring harness is designed to plug into the existing harness on the Dodge. You literally need no tools to install this.

The engine’s computer talks to the fuel pump’s computer via this connection.

Disconnect the plug from the pump computer, plug the Power Puck’s connector into it, and then plug the engine’s plug into the back of the Puck’s.

The Puck mounts with industrial strength Velcro already installed on the back. Stick it down and the Puck is installed.

Unscrew the top cover of the Puck to access the computer jack.

This is where the work begins. The software with the Puck now allows you to access the truck’s fuel and injector maps and begin replotting them.

There are a few different ways to go about resetting the different maps. The real techno-guys will enjoy going into the individual cells and playing with the numeric values to the second decimal place (visible as the grid on the top half of the screen shown). For the rest of us, the fast and easy way is to manipulate the graphs for the fuel amounts, injector timing, and duration by clicking on the values shown on the line graph and dragging them up or down with the mouse. Once you have the performance level you want, save your reconfigured map into the Puck and close the cover. The fuel computer will now obey the commands from the Puck, as received from the engine’s computer.

Diablo Sport has a sister company that manufactures code readers and engine management diagnostic tools. This is their prototype for Dodge vehicles. They’re wondering if there’s a market for a Dodge version. Give them a call and let them know!
