First the crack is "V-ed" out to about 2/3-3/4 of the way through the thickness of the plastic. We used the same carbide cutter used to port heads, mounted in an air die grinder. The "V" increases the surface area for the repair material to adhere to, making for a much stronger repair. View Related Article
