Our car had been essentially stripped to a rolling shell for bodywork and resto; we mounted it onto a rotisserie for the underchassis work. The rear axle and suspension were removed, taking our E-body down to a bare body. The rear spring's front hanger bolts through the chassis on a cantilevered bracket, not the strongest setup for a high-powered application. Adding the torque boxes literally boxes this area in, soundly tying the chassis together.
