 The CDC Shaker kit comes with...  The CDC Shaker kit comes with all the items necessary to complete the installation. The scoop itself is made of metal and comes already finished in matte black. The Shaker hood system installs onto the engine, so the factory engine cover is removed and this bracket is put in its place using the provided hardware and spacers. This bracket is fastened in place using the provisions to hold the fuel rails down, so care must be taken to properly retighten the fasteners.  Since the CDC hood and scoop...  Since the CDC hood and scoop are designed for the Challenger's factory airbox, we had to remove the ducting to fit the pieces around our aftermarket ProCharger supercharger. By applying heat to release the bonding agent, the duct comes off easily.  The Shaker base would normally...  The Shaker base would normally just drop right into place, but we had to trim ours to fit around the supercharger....  ....Using tape to mark the...  ....Using tape to mark the areas needing to be cut, a cutoff wheel can be used to trim the plastic base.  With the trimming complete,...  With the trimming complete, we also modified the ductwork we removed earlier to route air to our air filter, then rebonded the duct to the Shaker base.  Once the pieces are fitted...  Once the pieces are fitted (not required if your car is stock) the drain tubes are added to the base and the assembly can then be installed on the engine. The scoop is held in place by dzus style fasteners provided with the kit.  The Heritage hood can now...  The Heritage hood can now be bolted in place and lined up with the rest of the body. The Shaker scoop has adjustments so that it can be centered in the hood opening.  The final steps are marking...  The final steps are marking and drilling the holes for the windshield washer squirters, then applying the double-sided tape and installing the trim ring on the hood.....  .....Aside from having the...  .....Aside from having the hood painted, it took us about three hours to complete this installation, even having to modify the kit for our supercharged car.  We think the CDC Shaker system...  We think the CDC Shaker system adds significantly to the look of our '09 Challenger, reminding us of an era when cars were meant to perform, not simply get you from point A to point B. In addition to the pleasing aesthetics, the scoop also ducts cool outside air to our car's air.....  .....filter, providing additional...  .....filter, providing additional performance and a noticeably louder intake roar when the throttle is opened. Even better, our car is now distinctly different than other Challengers we're starting to see on the road!
