 Slip a yoke in the back of...  Slip a yoke in the back of the tranny to keep from oiling the driveway, and the jack can be lowered just enough to let the crossmember clear the body. The back half's ready to drop.  Up front, hook up an engine...  Up front, hook up an engine crane, not to pull the motor this time, but to hold it up.  Downstairs, we rolled a sturdy...  Downstairs, we rolled a sturdy mover's dolly in position to catch the drivetrain. The 4x4 wood beams are angled to clear the headers while supporting the K-member.  With the engine hoist tensioned...  With the engine hoist tensioned up to carry the weight of the drivetrain, the four bolts holding the K-member in are buzzed out, freeing the whole assembly. Even well supported by the crane, keep clear from underneath, just in case.  Lower the whole assembly on...  Lower the whole assembly on the dolly and she's out. Now how do we get the car out from over it?  With the casters bolted in...  With the casters bolted in the rear at the spring hanger brackets, the bare body will be balanced so it can be muscled up and rolled back. Actually, the weight and balance makes for an easy one arm lift. The wimpy way out would be to have a couple of buddies handy, or just hoist the body up and roll the drivetrain clear.  With the body clear, the front...  With the body clear, the front casters are bolted in place, and odds and ends like the bumpstops are unbolted.  In the engine bay, the last...  In the engine bay, the last of the wiring and the battery tray come out, and then all of the brake lines, and there's nothing left.  The drivetrain/suspension...  The drivetrain/suspension is strapped down to the dolly, and a strap is run across hooking both brake rotors to keep them off the ground. The entire assembly is self contained and mobile.  No, its not some oddball altered...  No, its not some oddball altered wheelbase lightweight A/FXer, just the bare bones of our 'Cuda ready for a dip in the stripping bath.
