14 we anxiously awaited our return to Atco Raceway. After establishing a baseline in the 12.90s, we thought the better flowing exhaust and heads should bring low 12s. After realizing the gain of 81 rwhp, we knew that wouldn’t be a problem – as long as we hoop-up on the worn out BFG T.A Drag Radials. A couple of soft launches netted us a 12.22 ET at 111.02 mph, and a back-up pass of 12.17 at 110.84 with 1.81 and 1.74 60-foot times, respectively. For the third and final pass, we felt confident enough to launch a little harder, and were rewarded with a 12.07 at 111.42 mph (1.71 sixty-foot). With a pair of slick, Charlie and Chad’s ’64 Sport Fury would have gone into the 11s!
