7 With the dual-carb setups tested, we bolted on Indy’s 440-2 single-plane intake manifold. This intake is a favorite among racers, and has a 4150 flange that is adapted to a 4500 style carburetor. This trick has been proven to make power, if you have hood clearance. We tested this intake with a Barry Grant King Demon 1090-cfm carburetor.
