Increasing the power output of your 6.1L (or 5.7l) Hemi automatic by 175 rwhp with a single bolt on is no easy task, unless that single bolt on provides boost. What is most impressive about the Kenne Bell supercharger kit for the 6.1L Hemi Challenger is not the gains in peak power but the fact that these peak gains are accompanied by a massive infusion of torque. Credit the immediate boost response offered by the efficient positive displacement supercharger for a gain of over 100 lbs/ft at just 2,000 rpm. Every bit as impressive was the fact that the 2.8L blower is just getting started at this power level and can top 1,000 hp on the right combination. Even at just 8 psi, the Kenne Bell supercharger was responsible for improving the power output of the Hemi from 342 hp and 337 lbs/ft to 515 hp and 472 lbs/ft, on an automatic no less.
