From the front, the ends of each plenum display the same core plug configuration as a stock Max Wedge cross ram. The integral coil bracket mounting bosses are even present. The close coupled arrangement of the carburetors would likely pose interference problems preventing the use of standard 14-inch Max Wedge air cleaner units. The solution would have been a quartet of smaller air cleaner units, or a large air cleaner to cover all four carburetors or two oval shaped units-one per bank. View Related Article
