MRL Performance MRL Performance utilized the same plan as the top two finishers in our contest, building a 340 cubic inch powerplant with a flat-tappet camshaft. Placing fourth, MRL showed us what a mild engine could do with out-of-the-box cylinder heads.

Chenoweth Speed and Machine/LaRoy...
Chenoweth Speed and Machine/LaRoy Engines Power Well, we didn’t get to make a dyno pull on the Chenoweth entry because coolant was getting into the number seven cylinder, forcing them to abort any attempt at qualifying. We were eager to see this engine run, but unfortunately the failure to qualify landed the Chenoweth/LaRoy entry in sixth place.
