During Prism’s three qualifying dyno pulls, they made minor jet changes to their vacuum secondary Holley carb and ran the engine to the required 7,000 rpm. This engine sounded healthy idling as well as during its pulls, and engine builder Darren Tedder admitted some 13:1 compression. Even though the high compression of this engine was somewhat offset by a very large roller camshaft, it is still a testament to Rockett Brand’s specially blended 93 octane gasoline.
