With our parts back from the machine shop, we clearanced the block for our 4.150-inch crank and Eagle H-beam connecting rods with a carbide bit and die grinder. Usually grinding about 11/48-inch from the bottom of the outer cylinder wall is enough, but you'll need to mock up the crank and rod to be sure you have a minimum of .080-inch clearance. The oil pickup tube boss is clearanced the same way. View Related Article
