Classic auto Air has a couple of different mounting brackets for the compressor, and which one you use depends on your application. In our case, the RT had the Ramcharger setup, which dictated we use the low-mount bracket to clear the air-cleaner base. | Before you put the condenser in place, you will need to mount the brackets to the unit. | Make sure you use the short screws, or you will damage the condenser. |
To support the condenser, CAA developed this support that mounts to the lower edge of the core support. | Slide the condenser into the bottom mount, but don't fasten the brackets to the core support just yet. | Before you fully attach the condenser to the core support, attach the hard lines to it finger tight. Now you can make sure the lines don't rub the core support or inner fender. |
Once you're sure about the location of the lines, mount the condenser. | We also placed the O-rings on the hard lines, oiled them up, and then tightened the fitting to the condenser at this time. | If your car didn't come with A/C, your kit has this lower pulley included. Unless you have an A/C pulley system on your car, you'll need this. |
