 | Now reinstall the control mechanism and simply plug in the connections. | The kit comes with small vents that are attached under the dash. |
First install the box, then the vent, and then connect the hose from the heat/air-conditioning box to the vent. | After you have all the vents installed and the wiring connected, replace the glovebox liner and door. | Go back under the hood and install the hoses. The heat valve is installed in the return line (the top hose). If you use the supply line, your A/C unit may function as well as it should. |
When the heater hose connections are done, mount the drier to the inner fender. HINT: connect the small tube that leads to the drier from the firewall, and then you'll see where to drill the drier's mounting holes. | Now connect the rubber lines as instructed in the directions. Make sure to always put some A/C oil or similar lightweight oil on the o-rings before final assembly. | Don't forget to insulate the hard lines at the firewall. This helps condensation from forming on the pipes and entering the car. |
You're getting closer. Replace the coolant. | After hooking the A/C system up to a machine to vacuum check for leaks, fill it with the proper amount of 134 refrigerant. | As you can see by our temperature probe inside the car, it's working quite well-29.8-degrees Fahrenheit is cold enough for us. |
