With axles, brake shoes, and hardware removed and the parking brake cable disconnected, the backing plate was removed from the differential housing. We were ready to clean the area and begin installing our disc brakes. Don't throw away the 11-inch drums though, they can be used to upgrade the brakes on another car equipped with 9- or 10-inch drums. View Related Article
